Loisaba lodge used to be a hunting lodge in the 60's but now offers stylish, comfortable accommodation in 7 en-suite rooms. All the rooms are on the edge of the escarpment with fantastic views. There is a large pool, tennis court, croquet lawn and a small health spa offering jaccuzi and various treatments and massages.
There are various accommodation options at Loisaba. Whichever you choose, you can still take advantage of the many activities available here, such as walks, game drives, horse riding, river rafting, fishing, visiting a local village, helicopter flights (extra), mountain biking, spa treatments, and even quad bikes.
Fair Trade / Responsible Tourism
Koija Starbeds is a community-owned project bringing an income to this Laikipiak Maasai community of about 2200 people. Loisaba helped set up the camp and also markets and helps run it. Loisaba also helps with a women's bead and leather-making group, and a furniture workshop. In all, with about 120 local employees, about 1000 local people are directly supported by Loisaba.The Loisaba Community Trust has been set up, and has so far developed a nursery school and a mobile clinic, and helped with school scholarships.
