Rising above the ocean is a place of true luxury and elegance. A place covered by the smell of the sea where everything was idealized and planned to the smallest of details. At Hotel Albatroz, the magic enchants and surprises the most demanding of visitors.
A member of "the leading small hotels of the world", Hotel Albatroz is situated on the bay with waves gently lapping below. Formerly a royal retreat until its transformation into one of Portugal's top boutique hotels.
The Albatroz Hotel and the Albatroz Palace are two separate buildings opposite to each other, both originally aristocratic residences and dating from the 19th Century. The Albatroz Hotel is the main building, which includes the Reception, Bar, Restaurant, 2 Pools, 39 rooms and 8 suites. The Albatroz Palace is across the street and offers 4 rooms and 2 suites.
Both buildings offer great conditions for Banquets and Cocktails, either in their 7 banqueting rooms or in the outside spaces overlooking the sea.The hotel overlooks the beach in the centre of Cascais, ancient fishing village and Royal summer resort at 30 km from the centre of Lisbon and 35 km from the national airport.
Owner of a privileged geographical location, Hotel Albatroz carries a story full of tradition. At the end of the XIX century, the village of Cascais was chosen by the royal family as the place to spend the summer. With them came noblemen and members of the middle class with plenty of money to spend. In order to accommodate these people, the construction of wonderfull houses like the Palace of the Duque de Palmela, the Palace of the Counts of Castro Guimarães, the Casa Faial, and the Casa Leitão took place. These houses marked forever the image of this old and humble fisherman's village of Cascais.
