One&Only Palmilla, the centerpiece of the Palmilla Community, opened in 1954, and, after several expansions now includes 172 guest rooms. Perched above the Sea of Cortez, the accommodations range from junior suites to a magnificent four-bedroom villa,with breathtaking views from all locations.
Today, the resort maintains the classic Mexican ambiance which has made it a favorite among an international "who’s who" since its original opening in 1956, while expanding and recreating the legendary property for a new generation of travelers.
Amenities abound: Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has developed Market, a world-class dining experience marked by Eurasian flair, punctuated with Mexican grace notes. The renowned chef also oversees Suviche, where Japanese and Latin flavors meld to produce delectable fare from the sea.
The resort also includes two pools, a conference center and wedding chapel.
1993 saw the arrival of the Jack Nicklaus-designed, 27-hole Palmilla Golf Club, the Golden Bear's first such effort in Mexico. The Club has been cited for many awards, including a best-in-Mexico designation from numerous travel-and-leisure experts.
The Spa at One&Only Palmilla is a world unto itself. Therapies draw from ancient Mexican and Asian cultures. The Wellness Center includes Pilates, yoga and hydrotherapy facilities.
